Investment focus

We invest our own capital, on our own timeline.

No fund cycles, no exit pressure. The capital is the family's own, so nothing here is held against a deadline someone else set.

We look for companies building something for a lot of people: software and technology, renewable energy, products for the mass market — early stage or scale-up. Real estate stays important, but that we develop ourselves. And we take an operator's seat where it helps the company, rather than holding a line on a statement.

Much of it happens in Kitzingen, our home town, and the wider Mainfranken region around it. That makes the responsibility a concrete one rather than a policy: we live among what we invest in, and we are known here.

Two holdings
  • Real estate

    5E Immobilien GmbH

The property arm of the family office. 5E Immobilien invests in property projects — the slowest and most tangible part of what we own, and the part we expect to still hold when the next generation takes it over.

  • Wine

    5E Wilhelmsberg GmbH

A winery producing premium wine under the brand Gut Wilhelmsberg, and the historic estate it sits on, held as part of the investment. It is the clearest statement of how this family office works: a real business, in a real place, on a timeline measured in vintages.

    More about this holding
Vine rows following the slope of the estate's vineyard, with a small chapel standing at the crest.
    • The stone facade of Gut Wilhelmsberg, its arched windows framed by climbing vines.
    • Two people walking up the grass path between two rows of vines.
    • A hand cupping a bunch of ripening white grapes still on the vine.
